Sweep of polygon vertices

      Hi all,

I'm trying to perform a sweep of polygon vertices using the built-in sweep utility in Lumerical DGTD. The polygon is a prism defined with four vertices. I would suspect the vertices are expressed as a 4x2 matrix. However, in the sweep utility, I'm not able to modify this parameter, neither as a 4x2 matrix, nor as an individual coordinate. Could anybody shed some light into how to sweep through polygon vertices?

Thank you all for your support. I look forward to hearing from you.

      Best,

      Marco

      Hi Marco,

I had the same issue. I don't think the vertices are accessible in this way. A simple workaround is to make a construction structure group which generates the polygon via script. The script takes as an input the group parameters and those can be accessed in the sweep tool normally.

      Kind regards,

      Marek

Thank you Marek! yes, set a variable for that point(s) and assign it to the polygon matric inside the structure group, make sure such variable is in the "Properties" list, then you will be able to find it in the sweep object by selecting this structure group.
