SubscriberHi everyone,
I am trying to switch between using two different licenses installed on my machine. Even if i move the license i am trying to use above the other in the license manager, when i open workbench, the analysis systems section isn't showing anything that should be included in license I am trying to use.
note for the image: i am trying to use the netapp01.olin.edu because that is a full student license, the other license is one that was given to me with just the fluid dynamics components of workbench with the corporate element/node settings because the fluids project I was working on was hitting the student limit

Ansys EmployeeHi kianraissian,
Open CMD Prompt, then issue the following command (change the version accordingly)
"%awp_root194%..shared fileslicensingwinx64ansysli_util" -statli 2325@NETAPP01.olin.edu
then post the output here.
Thanks,
Win

Ansys EmployeeThe '194'.
Here is the mapping.
2019 R2 -> 194
2019 R1 -> 193
19.2 -> 192
19.1 -> 191
so on.
Thanks,
Win

Ansys Employeeyou have some issue connecting to that license server.
1. Make sure the license server on there is up and serving licenses just fine.
2. Test your network communications with that license server machine by using 'telnet' . You can turn it on by typing Windows features in "Search Windows" tool box , then look for "Turns Windows features on or off" and launch this. Then, scroll down to the bottom and check "Telnet Client" > OK
Open CMD Prompt then issue the following command
telnet NETAPP01.olin.edu 2325
does this fail ?
What about
telnet NETAPP01.olin.edu 1055
Consult with your IT if you have issue with network communications
Thanks,
Win
