      Hello,

Can anyone suggest me the trust-able websites to get the tangent modulus values for Polymers?

      Thanks,

      Naveen

Campus Plastics is an excellent website. I take Engineering Stress-Strain data from their website and convert it to True Stress - True Strain to use in a Multilinear Plasticity material model.  The site shows a graph such as is shown below, and if you click on the Control Points button, you get a table of points and there is even an XLS export button.

If you use this site, note that they list both Dry and Conditioned data. You want to use the Conditioned data because that is the plastic after it has normalized and absorbed a typical amount of moisture from the humidity in the air. Dry is the properties of the part in the first hour after it was molded and is not representative of the part in use.

      Regards,

      Hi Peter,

In campus plastics website, how to find whether the obtained properties of a polymer is dry or conditioned?

      Thanks,

      Naveen
