Ansys EmployeeHello Array nPlease check the element library for different types of 2D elements available https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v195/ans_elem/Hlp_E_SHELL181.html. Not sure what you mean by a tension shell but if you want a 2D element with no bending stiffness you could use a shell 181 element with KEYOPT(1) = 1 ( type ET,matid,181 KEYOPT,matid,1,1 in the command snippet).
