The license server and vendor ports

  Dear all,
  I was wondering if the Ansys Lumerical uses the same ports for the license server and vendor ports as Lumerical was using before (27011 and 42128, respectively). Checking the Flexnet publisher on our server, it seems that the ports have not changed. But, as for the new license setup, we have installed the Ansys license manager, I am not sure if there could be any interference between the two. It is worth mentioning that I could not find any information about the ports in the Ansys license manager.
  Recently, we have faced some issues with some computers that cannot reach our license server to acquire a license. We want to make sure that there are not any network issues and the ports are not blocked. Could you please help me with this?

  Please check out the Ansys license manager guide in the Lumerical KB. For the license configuration and ports used by the Ansys LM, see this article in the KB. Hope this helps.

  Dear Lito Thanks a lot for your help. Are there any compatibility issues for the Lumerical version 2020a with the Ansys license manager? I was wondering if the problem of not being able to acquire a license could be because of the version of the installed Lumerical too. What do you think?

  Lumerical 2021 R1 and newer is required with Ansys LM. Prior versions do not support the Ansys license manager. See this guide in our KB for details.
