The meaning of component of Mises Stress

  "Von Mises Stress" is Scalar quantity. Please tell me the meaning of the following image "Component".

  The chart options are populated in a generic manner and are not customized as per the "Result" that has been selected. So while Component is a relevant option for Deformations but not for Equivalent stress which is a scalar quantity, it always remain there on the GUI and doesn't grey itself out even if the Result is selected to Von Mises Stress. I understand that this might lead to some ambiguity but that is how the program is functioning.
  
  The user is expected to select or tweak only the options that are meaningful corresponding to the result he wants to extract and leave other options to default while calling the charts.
