The meaning of error when running the shape optimization with ACT(Automatic Shape Optimization)

      Dear everyone,

I met an error when I run shape optimization for a case via ACT in Fluent. Below picture is the console showing the error.

The error is that you picked pressure-drop for the observable but it's not recognised in the panel. Check your definitions. Also check if you can deform poly mesh:it was limited to hex (smoothing/layering) and tet (smoothing/remeshing). n

Dear Bob,nThank you for your suggestions.nMay I check the last point you mentioned means: poly mesh does not work for shape optimization well? or Poly mesh does not work for the primary simulation? nThank younnZyaon

I can't remember if you can deform a poly mesh: so the optimiser will suggest some deformation but the mesh may not then move as it's poly. It'll be in the moving mesh section of the documentation somewhere. n
