SubscriberYes I have, but is suppressing these regions a good idea?

Ansys EmployeeNo, suppressing all together is not a good idea. They just give you an idea where you have overlapping contacts. You should fix them before proceeding.

Ansys EmployeeYou can create multi body geometry so that contacts are not created at all.

SubscriberI do have a multi-body geometry. They are essentially PCBs stacked on top of one another. But how can I avoid this error ?

Ansys EmployeeContact regions are said to be "overlapping" when the same entity is a member of more than one contact region or when multiple contact regions share the same geometry. Ansys fluent does not support overlapping contact regions. You need find the cyclic contact region and then suppress it.
the following links explains how to repair mesh overlapping

Contact regions are said to be "overlapping" when the same entity is a member of more than one contact region or when multiple contact regions share the same geometry...
The other way is to to segment contact faces (because every contact is between two face). you can do that by Boolean operations (imprint faces) in design modeler
