SubscriberI am trying to do a maxwell and simplorer co-simulation of a transformer for the design of a 110kHz flyback circuit, as shown in figure 1. But a quite long transient process is found at the transformer secondary side. As shown in figure 1. The turns ratio is 1:1:1 and the imput voltage is 24V. However, even 400ns has passed the secondary side still hasn't reach to 24V.
figure1 the view of the transformer( the green winding is the primary winding)
figure 2 the plot of the secondary voltage in co-simulation
To find the problem, I build a simpler model and find its secondary side reached to steady state just in several ns. Can anyone give me an explanation? I would be appreciate it if anyone can give me a hand.

Ansys EmployeeHello Zheng Lu,
We have inductance or eddy effect in coils, so we may have transient process at beginning of simulation.
Could you check Maxwell with simple external circuit and see if you have this transient process?
Could you reach the steady state? Thanks.

SubscriberThank you very much! I'm really sorry, I don't usually surf internet very much, and I just saw your replies now.
But I found that If you set the type of conductor of the coils to stranded and the number of conductors is bigger than one, the conductors will be considered connected in series, which may cause errors in the simulation of the stranded wires.Ah……My English is not very good, I apologize for any inconvenience caused. -

Ansys EmployeeHello Zheng Lu,
I am not sure what is your meaning. Could you provide more information? What is the error or what happens? Could you use voltage source in primary coil (voltage and winding) and open circuit in secondary coil (current and winding, I=0) only in Maxwell? Thanks.
