thermal conductivity of silicon carbon

  Hi all,
  
  I read two papers in which the thermal conductivity of silicon carbon is very different. One is 92 and the other is approximately 50. I am wondering which one is believable?

  It could just be different manufacturers or they could have different compositions of silicon and carbon. You can reach out to the authors of the paper for more details. The recommendation is usually to go with the properties reported in an ASME handbook.
