SubscriberIs there a way to turn the thermal solver on for some parts/elements and off for others in a model? Or every part need to be involved?
Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeHello Chenxi,
If you want some parts to not take part in the thermal solution in LS-DYNA, define BOUNDARY_TEMPERATURE for all the NODES belonging to the PARTS to be removed. You can set the temperature to anything. Temperature=0 is a reasonable choice. These nodes will then be constrained out of the problem. You will still need to assign a thermal material to these parts though.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
