I'm trying to find the thermal stresses on a structure. In my initial run, I see the thermal stress values are high, not sure why this is occurring. Also, I'm not sure if I set up the simulation correctly. Hot gas(860 F) pass through the internal structure as shown below, I even applied the convection on the outer surface of the structure(ambient Temp). I am not sure if I need to use heat flux or temperature to define this, I tried both ways and still the stress in static structural is close to 4.8xE^9. Please anyone can guide me on how to solve this simulation?
