i have a question. I want to simulate a gust on a wind turbine profile. My task is to implement a transient simulation where the velocity is time dependant. So the velocity changes in a time frame of 5 seconds. As you know the velocity is a vector, therefore the vector is formed by magnitude and direction and both of them are time dependant (5 seconds). For the velocity i have a formula which includes the variable t and the direction for the x and y axis will be calculated by the sinus and cosinus of the velocity vector, but how can i implement this? how can i set in ANSYS Fluent a time dependant variable ?
Many thanks in advance! Have a great start into the week.March 14, 2022 at 9:19 amDrAmineAnsys EmployeeYou can use Fluent Expression to provide time varying direction/magnitude or both.
