SubscriberDear all,
in the past with older versions of discovery we did a lot thermal simulations with time dependent heat sources.
In the older versions beside a parameter, there was a symbol to activate spreadsheet input. So I could easily choose and setup timedepenet changes.
A very simple example:
simulation of about 6000s time starting with an object having 20W thermal power. After 2000s this decreases in one step to 5W for the rest of the simulation. In the 2020 discovery version this was simple clicking the button beside the parameter and editing the spreadsheet:
t[s] P[W]
0 20
2000 5Where has this function gone?! I need it to catch up and compare with my 2 years old simulations!
Now I can only set parameter variation without any relation to simulation time.
Hope you can help me with a short explanation how to set this up again. Otherwise discovery has become useless for us with the 2022 update :(

Ansys EmployeeHello Dr. Ebert
Time dependent parameter setup is not available in Discovery at the moment. I will file an enhancement request for this functionality to be added. Thank you!
Regards.

SubscriberMany thanks!
Any idea for a timeline? I expect my only chance is to downgrade to 2020 version?! Is this possible under current licence?!

Ansys EmployeeHello Dr. Ebert
We do not yet have a timeline to support it. We will let you know when we learn more on this in the coming releases.
Yes you can use Discovery 2020 version and you should be able to download it from this page below:

SubscriberDevendra Badgujar Is there a way to download older student versions or are they all expired?
If so, where do I begin to search for previous student versions ? -
