SubscriberHi, We recently moved the Ansys licenses from a desktop/laptop to a server. After the install completed, even before the license was switched, I see tomcat9.exe using up 4-5GB RAM over a period of a few days and it seems to be triggered from Ansys. What is tomcat9.exe used for and how can we control the RAM usage? Thanks, Jagdeesh -

SubscriberHello jsubramanian ,
This is most probably operations behind the hood ANSYS is performing, although I am not sure why it is taking up 4-5Gb RAM, just after launch. I will discuss this with the developers and experts and try to find whether it can be reduced/controlled.
Regards.

SubscriberThis is a problem with the Tomcat service. Try updating to the 2021R1 License Manager to see if it resolves the issue. There was a memory leak problem that should be resolved.
Ongoing mail discussion with Matt.
