SubscriberDear Sir/Madam,
I am solving a Open channel Multiphase(water and air) VOF problem. i am interested in plotting Total Force at a point vs time plots. The point i have chosen is on a wall perpendicular to the flow direction. Solution#2049647 guides to plot the same. The solution also suggest to sum both viscous and pressure force, irrespective of direction. I am also interested in adding dynamic force along with pressure and Viscous force. How shall i proceed writing CFF(Custom field function) for the same. After find this how to validate the results, is there a benchmark problem to validate the force plots.Kindly do the needful.
Thanks,
PRABU

SubscriberHello PRABU,
Did you use the Monitor tool in fluent to capture the force vs time? Also, have you created a point at a certain coordinate in your domain to use in the Monitor facility? Please note, the above instructions are used in ANSYS Fluent. Cheers

SubscriberHello Raef,
Thanks for the response. I am using ANSYS Fluent only. I have created a point at a certain coordinate in my numerical domain to use in the Monitor facility.
But there is no clear cut force monitors. I think it has to be calculated from Pressures. How to achieve it. Thanks.

Hello dears,
How can I get to the solution number mentioned in bold i.e. Solution#2049647. I have see many posts with solution numbers but I am totally new to the forum.
Regards
