SubscriberI am putting an element size of 1.0 mm, and with the transition turned to FAST, I get a specific number of mesh elements. But when turned to SLOW, the number of elements almost doubles. What does transition mean? Although the maximum number of element size (given as 1.0 mm) is the same for both FAST and SLOW, why does the number of elements increase in the latter?nWhat does Span Angle Center mean? Should changing this value to Coarse, Medium or Fine will affect my total number of elements?nAnd also what does Adaptive sizing actually mean? What happens if I turn OFF adapative sizing, and also turn OFF the proximity and curvature options? How is going to be different than turning ON the adaptive sizing?n -

SubscriberAnyone who can help to give an explanation on this one? As far as the transition is concerned, I read in ANSYS 18.0 Meshing guide that it means the ratio at which the element grows. But when I turn the transition from FAST to SLOW, all the elements decrease in size. It baffles me why is it happening.n -
