SubscriberGood day!
I would just like to ask how I can obtain the tranmission and cross coupling coeffecient of a microring resonator using Lumerical Script in Microring resonator. Furthermore, these coeffecients vary in wavelengths. How can I get this plot?
Thank you!

This page contains a package of LSF codes and MODE and FDTD project files that you can use to extract tau and kappa in terms of wavelength. Hope that it will help. Good day.

Ansys Employee@jackzhf thank you for help!
Please note that, kappa and tao are complex numbers so in the FDTD simulation, it could change their phases depending on the port locations. The power coupling coefficient can be simulated without ambiguity, such as the online example. -

SubscriberHello Thank you for your replies. I have read the article that you mentioned however, I was not able to find exactly, how I can graph the coeffecients kappa and tau. Can I please ask for your guidance? Thank you!

SubscriberDid you try the files and check the codes in the LSF files on the page?

SubscriberYes I already checked it but the calculation of tau is only theoretical and depends only on the Q and FSR values typed in the script. I was wondering if there is a way to get the tau of the designed microring resonator in Lumerical Mode by using obtaining the data from the monitors.
Thank you!

SubscriberStep 1 in the following example should fit your purpose using FDTD solver and hope it will help.
