Unable to find license name for simulation in student version of LS-Dyna

  I am teaching a class in Vehicle Safety Engineering, and a student would like to use the free student software of LS-Dyna. When she runs the simulation, she gets a message saying it cannot find the license name. Any suggestions?

  Hi Barbara,
  Are you executing LS-Dyna from LS-Run or Workbench?
  Please add the system environment variable to point to the license server. Go to START > Search ‘Edit the System Environment Variables’ > Click Environment Variables.
  
  Under the System Variables, please click NEW and create a new variable.
  
  Variable Name – ANSYSLMD_LICENSE_FILE
  Variable Value – 1055@
  
  Save it. Here, type the name of the server where licenses are installed instead of .
