Unable to open the Mechanical Editor

      Hi community ,


      Can anyone help me in having this issue in Ansys 16.0 Version when i am trying to update any geometry ?


       AnsysWBU.exe-Bad Image


      C:Program FilesANSYS Incv160aisolbinwin64Xalan-C_1_10_1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original insatllation media or contact your system admininstrator or the software vendor for support .

      Do you have this file C:Program FilesANSYS Incinstall.err ?


      Have you tried the re-installation ?

      Could you provide your systems information ?


      Are you using Windows 7 32-bit ?


      Can you temporarily turn off your anti-virus software ?


      Have you tried more recent versions of ANSYS (like 18.x or above). Please note that ANSYS only officially supports up to previous 2 major versions (as of now, this is equivalent to 18.1) .

      I am using windows 7, 64 Bit .


      I did turn off my anti-virus while installation.


      Before installing version 16 , i have used 18.0 on this system.


      C:Program Files ANSYS Incinstall.err is there.


      I am trying re-installation but its giving error of cannot locate media path for disk.

      Hi Fizza,


      Thanks for the info.


      Please post the screenshot of the error message.


      Also, make sure you remove the folder C:Program Files ANSYS Inc before try the re-installation.
