Unbalanced species sources in multiple surface reactions with DPM

I try and inject pure carbon particles and the carbon reacts with CO2 to form CO. However, the sources of CO2 and CO are not in stoichiometric proportion with the char sources at that instant. Why is this so?n

How are you defining the reaction?nHow are you evaluating the reaction rate? What do you expect?n

I am defining the reaction rate in the materials dialogue box (Screen shots are attached). The reaction that I am defining is C+CO2->2CO.nnThe reaction rate is evaluated as Surface area*Aexp(-Ea/RT) kg/s for the dpm particle. The particle mass loss obtained is as expected. However, the CO and CO2 sources from the particle are not balanced according to stoichiometry. The screen shots attached show the case of a parcel injected into the domain at fluid flow time step. The burnout source is the mass source of the particle as the particle is a pure carbon particle. The CO sources expected should be = source of char*2*28/12 nCO2 sources should be = source of char*44/12nnHowever, the sources of CO and CO2 are not the same as calculated. Why is this so?nn

Sorry. I have attached a wrong ss for the sources. Can you please check this image instead.nn

Also try to use the most recent release and verify your results again.n
