SubscriberI am solving example of ASME section VIII division 2, where i have to create a contour plot strain limit and strain limit ratio.
For example, the equation (a+b)/c has contant values 0,1,2 respectively. The problem is how to solve it and define this equation to get nodal solution and contour plot.

Ansys EmployeeI would refer you to Chapter 8 of the MAPDL Basic Analysis Guide for all the details on defining and plotting variables in MAPDL, /POST26.
Section 8.3, in particular, list several different APDL commands available to process variables, develop calculated relationships, and store the data.

SubscriberWhat i want is to divide the equivalent plastic strain with a constant value and then check it in contour plot. And chapter 8 gives a vague understanding.
For ex, ESOL,3,219,47,EPEL,X,Elastic_Strain It is the X component of elastic strain at node 47 for element 219. Does it means that it extracts the result at this element 219 and then store it? But in my case i need result from all the nodes which will be divided by a constant and dispayed as a contour plot.
