User-Defined Scalar for Interfacial Area Concentration in FLUENT

      Hello,nI'm trying to use a two-group interfacial area concentration transport equation for a multiphase flow simulation. Currently in FLUENT, interfacial area concentrations for gas phases are provided if the user applies this in the phase descriptions for multiphase flow. However, a two-group formulation for the gas phase has inter-group coupling (for transfer between group 1 bubbles and group 2 bubbles).nIs there a way to add these sink and source terms using a User-Defined Scalar by relating the interfacial area concentration terms that are already defined in the FLUENT simulation? Or is there another way to add this behavior into FLUENT?nThank you for any help you can provide!nSincerely,nDannyn

      You need to code it on your own. And yes you can use user defined scalar for second group. But you are trying to do that? You can use inhomogeneous discrete or dqmom as finalized pop balance methods with different velocity field or IAC transport for each phase (here you need to link both using udf)n
