SubscriberHi, Discovery Live can‘t be started in virtual desktop environment (nVidia Tesla M60),even the compatible diagnostic was successful and we found there is no CUDA or openGL option in nVidia control panel. We check "remote-display-virtual-desktop-support-192.pdf" file, but there is nothing about ANSYS Discovery family product except ANSYS SCDM. Does ANSYS Discovery Product support VDI environment? -

SubscriberHi Jim
The use of Remote Desktop for Discovery Live is not officially supported. However, it is found that Nvidia Quadro GPU does support such connection.

Gaurav

SubscriberHi Gaurav_ANSYS
Thanks a lot for your help. Does this mean that when we can use CUDA and OpenGL functions, no matter what DL live we run on a remote desktop, virtual desktop, or actual desktop?

You need to have the required hardware capabilities on the actual desktop. Further, as I mentioned earlier, you will then be able to access Discovery products on this particular machine directly but not through Remote/Virtual desktop.
