Hello, nI am currently working on a multiphase boiling simulation in version 19.2 and one of the available options with virtual mass force in the Phase Interactions is Virtual Mass Modeling. What is happening when this option is clicked? Is it allowing the virtual mass force to be included in the force balance or is it an additional mode? nIn addition, are there reading materials for a tutorial guide and user guide for FLUENT version 19.2? I can only seem to find older versions of these guides, which only discuss the virtual mass force and not this virtual mass modeling option. nThanks for all the help you can provide! nSincerely, nDannyn

It adds the virtual mass force du to the acceleration of bubbles in the continous fluids. It increase the inertia and that is why the name.

Hello, nSo, if the Virtual Mass Modeling option remains unchecked, then the virtual mass force wouldn't be considered, even if I provide values for the coefficient? nThanks,nDannyn
