Vortex flow in fluent related to surface tension

Hi guys, I'm doing something about laser selective melting. Some questions have arisen regarding the flow of the molten pool.

      1. Under normal circumstances, there should be two vortex currents in front of and behind the molten pool, but why did they not appear in my simulation?
      2.  Simulation setting: the surface tension of the negative surface tension gradient is set in the UDF; Gaussian laser movement speed is set to 25000mm/s.I would appreciate any reply! Thanks again!

      Hello Jian,

We will be better positioned to help you as we get a better understanding of what your are doing.

Can you show a sketch of your setup and provide more details about your setup? Also, what does your mesh look like?

        Thank you for your interest!

1.The established model and mesh are shown below, with the upper layer of gas and the lower layer of metal matrix. . The laser heat source model used is a Gaussian heat source, which is intended to simulate the flow of the molten pool.

2.I added the VOF model as well as the melt solidification model to establish the surface tension between the two phases (0.82-0.0003*dT as a function of temperature, including a negative surface tension gradient).

However, in this case, no Marangoni flow phenomenon was observed, can you guide me a little, thank you very much.👍👨‍🎓
