SubscriberHello I am trying to create a wave that propagates through the pipe when I do 2-way coupling with Fluent. I have set a fluid geometry enternal pipe+ the volume in the back and set the external geometry as the solid. I have chosen water as the fluid and Plastic Pi as the solid. I have set the pipe as a fixed support and run the simulation for 20 seconds.
In the results I see a deformation that decreases linearly for a few mm until it vanishes. I played a bit with Young Modulus and now I will change the pressure inlet which is a UDF set to create pulse flow with 1000 Pa every other second.
I am not very familiar with structrular and my current suspicion is that the pressure is not enough at this point to create such behavior. Do you have any advice on what needs to be changed in order to achieve a wave propagation?
Thank you

SubscriberHello Ashish,
Unfortunatelly it does not help me but thank you very much for your reply. I am not clear on how to imitate pressure wave propagation in Ansys that is all. If you have any advice on that I would really appreciate it.
Best regards

SubscriberThank you once again. Do you happen to know where I can find the Expicit Dynamics documentation?
Thank you
EDIT: I found a bunch of stuff in Ansys Learning hub

SubscriberHello again,
I was wondering if you have a tutorial in mind because I am going through infinite amount of pages and honestly I am getting more confused. I want to see an example to understand what is happening.
Best regards
