What does ISOLEVEL define in LSTASC

I have observed that increasing ISOLEVEL removes more amount of material. What does it actually mean and how it can be helpful?

iso-surface plot is just for post processing, LS-TaSC is not actually removing material based on iso-level value. It just shows which areas of the model has the material based on user specified iso-level.
For example, if you select 0.3 as the iso-level, ls-tasc simply shows all the elements in the model with relative density of 0.3 and above, that is all elements with relative density between 0.3 to 1.
