An perfectly incompressible material has a poisson's ratio of 0.5, and its volume keeps the same under deformation. Typical incompressible material is rubber

      Hello @skadam and @akhemka ,

That is right. So a metal with a typical poisson's ratio of .3 or so is compressible. Interestingly when the material undergoes large plastic deformation, the poisson's ratio transitions to .5 and it actually turns to be incompressible.

      Thank you
