SubscriberHi, I posted my question at Stack Exchange before, but got no answers yet:
Could you help me?
This element list file is not generated by me. Most lines are OK, but I can't understand some of them.
The initial lines are like this:
LIST ALL SELECTED ELEMENTS. (LIST NODES)
***** ANSYS - ENGINEERING ANALYSIS SYSTEM RELEASE 15.0 *****
ANSYS Multiphysics
00207328 VERSION=WINDOWS x64 14
8:49 JUL 14, 2015 CP= 8.705
200
I find some confusing lines as follows. One example is this:
ELEM MAT TYP REL ESY SEC TSHA NODES
93330 1 1 1 0 1 216828 134951 134975 134975 134942 134942 134942 134942
217733 0 134975 217734 134942 134942 134942 134942
217735 134818 134820 134820
Is it a 20-node hexahedron element?
Nodes like '134942' appear multiple times. What does that mean?
What does the index '0' mean? I don't have the 0th node in my node list file.
Another example is like this:
ELEM MAT TYP REL ESY SEC TSHA NODES
107468 1 13 8 0 1 QUA8 21597 21599 8899 8901 21598 8892 8900 8893
and this:
53885 4 4 4 0 4 TRI6 10 11 1436 1436 5267 5275 1436 5271
QUA8 is OK to me, but why TRI6 have 8 node indices (with two repetitive indices)? What does that mean?
