SubscriberHi every one.
Could you please to advised about what theory or solution that ansys use for analysis the part damage in Explicit dynamic program ?
For example I do simulation part by drop test with Explicit dynamic and saw after program done for anlysis some portion do damage as same picute.
Then i would like to know about what theory or solution that the ansys use for analysis this?
Because i would like to reference that theory in my scholar.
That liked johnson cook model or not ?

SubscriberHi Suwitcha,
In the Workbench, if you open the "Engineering Data", you can find out if a failure criterion has been assigned to your material.
Moreover, under the Toolbox menu, you can see a list of failure criteria that can be selected for your material. Note that no specific failure criterion is assumed by default.-

SubscriberHi Armin
Could you please to advised ?
I already check with you recommend but normally i didn't additional detail in "Engineering data" such as failure data.
But after program analysis i saw some element show red color and part do change condition.
I suspect that point liked part damage. Then i would like to know how program calculate that point do damage ?
Because i would like to know liked theory or solution that program calculate and report result as same animation show ?
Can you explain from my question ?
from my picture after analysis some part show hole

SubscriberHi Suwitcha,
It looks like to me that elements in your model undergo excessive distortion that may be the cause of this behavior. Please check out the thread below where you can obtain more information on this topic:

SubscriberThank you for your advised. Ok from that damage generate from default program setting.
Could you please explain to me know ? How i can use data or result from explicit funtion ?
Because now i can't finding theory or solution for support to compare result from this program analysis.
I would like to be ensure data from program as same theory.
I only know the animation report and data report from program but can't find the raw solution that program solve from my parameter.
Then i can't judgement what my parameter impact for the result.
Can you recommend some theory or solution that i can reference ?

SubscriberNo problem Suwitcha. You can find more details on how elements are eroded (and how to control it) from the link below:
