where to find the “Fluent Customization Manual” ?

      Dear Community,

the "ANSYS Fluent Getting Started Guide" refers to a "Fluent Customization Manual". Where can that be found ?

The "ANSYS Fluent User's Guide" states:
Customizing Fluent (p. 2667), provides information about using ANSYS ACT to create simulation wizards that
can be run from either stand-alone Fluent or Fluent in Workbench.

      So, ACT = Customization ????

It is mindboggling that customers have to go and hunt for the manuals. Likewise, I had to hunt the manual "CAD integration" and the "DesignModeler User's Guide". Also, I unearthed only an older version of the "Fluent Tutorial Guide".

I use the "Academic Student Release" release 19.2. As a workaround, manual for prior releases of Fluent are also welcome.

Could someone please post of comprehensive list of all available ANSYS manuals, at least for Fluent, and the addresses where they can be found on the internet ? Preferably in pdf format, but htm is also welcome.

Your kind assistance is greatly appreciated.

      Regards

      FrankR

Click on Help within Fluent and this should open the documentation. In the list of products on the left side, look for the Fluent section, and it's there.

Thank you, but not yet the solution.

There is no "Help" on my Fluent GUI.

Under the question mark I find

a link to the User's Guide

context-sensitive help, which doesn't do anything

      Using help

Online technical resources, pointing to https://www.ansys.com/support/customer-portal and "We’re sorry, the page cannot be found." - what a miserable mess

What I did find is a document "ANSYS ACT Customization Guide for Fluent" - is this it ? It is only 22 pages Long. My posting mentions "Fluent Customization Manual" because this is exactly the term as printed in that other Manual. It is not asking for too much if one strives to find a Manual with exactly this title.

Also the "ANSYS ACT Developer's Guide" does  not seem to disclose what "ACT" stands for. Anyone Aware of it ?

      Regards

      FrankR

ACT stands for ANSYS Customization Tool, I believe it's different from the Fluent Customization guide you are looking for.

Please let us know if this works for you.

      Thank you.
