Why does the Purcell enhancement happen and experimentally how much significant it is?

      In FDTD simulation I am getting transmission more than 1 through the monitor placed on top of the photonic structure and dipole is placed in the middle. Also, the Ansys team was saying it is happening because of Purcell factor enhancement so to get actual transmission we need to renormalize the transmission by diving with the Purcell factor. As Purcell, factor enhancement is also a very important thing. So which one would be related to my experiment, Purcell factor or renormalized transmission?

      As you know, the Purcell factor quantifies the enhancement of the radiation, and the renormalized transmission quantifies how much the radiated power gets out of the structure. They are somewhat related not also different. So it is up to you how to quantify the effect of the dipole in the structure.
