      if its ductile material then also most of them considers Maximum Principal Strain in EXPLICIT ANALYSIS.n

      nBecause max principal strain best represents tension, not compression, and materials most easily fail in tension.nEquivalent von-Mises strain is for both tension and compression, but material is not tearing apart in compression.n
