SubscriberHello,
I am running a simulation on a bone graft and it took 5hrs to implement a bolt pretension. One of three so it took all day to add 3 bolt pretensions. Is it the fact that the bolt pretension is found on the same surface as a Sliding Contact group? If I try to use the recommended Imprint Tool, it never makes it there, it just crashes. This same CAD file used to run much more quickly in ANSYS 2020 so I'm assuming that it has to do with the parameters I implemented in ANSYS Discovery (2021).
Thank you in advanced for any help.

Do you have your Graphics Driver up to date?
Please update it from the NVIDIA Website.Download Drivers | NVIDIA
Also, the right way to apply bolt pretensions would be to use imprint. especially fi the face has contacts as well.
Please make sure to make the contacts at the bolting locations as prevented contacts while applying bolt pretension.

SubscriberBy Prevented do you mean "Exclude from the simulation" ? because my only options are: join, permanently bonded, sliding or exclude from simulation.
As for the imprint tool, hopefully updating the graphics will allow me to use it since right now i cant.
