why the output ele-power of PIN PD is so low in interconnect

  I directly link rhe CW laser, PD and the ele-powermeter,the optical source is 0dbm, the responsivity of PD is 1,the output ele-power should be 0dbm.But the output ele-power is 30dbm,why is it?

  Hi 子溪刘,
  Do you mean -30 dBm? The PD output signal current, with 1 responsively, the 0 dBm (0.001 W) optical power transfers to 0.001 A current. Then the power will be I^2*R, in this case we treat R as 1 ohm, so the power is 0.001 A^2*1 ohm =1e-6 W = -30 dBm
