Ansys EmployeeTry this if you haven't already
Close all ANSYS applications, then open CMD Prompt and issue the following command
move "%appdata%ansys" "%appdata%ansys.old"
If that doesn't work, please post the output of 'set' command without quote ( ' ' )

Ansys EmployeeCan you install ANSYS without including special characters in directory name ?
It seems you specified
ANSYS####ANSYS Student#### during the install.
You can try
ANSYS IncANSYS Student instead.
Please uninstall the current one with
ANSYS####ANSYS Student####v195uninstall.exe (make sure to 'run as administrator') , then manually wipe the entire
ANSYS afterwards. Then, reinstall the software.

SubscriberHey,
I basically gave up on the R3 version and decided to download R2.
I followed your advice to give the directory folder a name without special characters and so far so good. It works! Unfortunately I do not know whether this is because of the R2 version or the change in folder name.
Thank you very much,
Marcin

Ansys EmployeeHi Marcin,
That's good news. Thank you for the update.
If you like, you can try installing R3 again (they can co-exist with each other).
Thanks,
Win
