Workbench Shearing Issue on Rotational Displacement

I've been trying to apply a torque about a beam/thin wire, but can't figure this out. I tried to create a rigid body for the cylinder and bond it to the wire and apply a rotation but that threw all kind of crazy errors. When I combined the files into one CAD model to merge meshes, I get a bad shearing effect whether I apply the rotation (rotary displacment) to either the cylinder face or side.  What's the best approach to do this without getting this poor effect.

      Hello dusev,

Why is the model flying around before rotating about a point? Can you share more details on your boundary and loading conditions? Also turn on large deflections.

      Regards,

      Nanda.
