SubscriberI am trying to create an internal flow volume in Fluent Meshing by wrapping the model consisting of 4 solid walls and patches on the inlet and outlet. The air flows through a long but narrow hole (5 mm x 800 mm, see image 1). I use curvature scoped sizing on all the bodies (image 2). The wrap volume does not fit the narrow region of the model (image 3). I guess, there is some minimal angle between edges of the wrap body which prevents it from "entering" the narrow area and filling the region completely.
I am new to Fluent, so I think I miss something basic. Thanks for any help!

Please calculate the minimum sizing using the ctrl+d after selecting the nodes. And use that value as your lower limit.
Also, have you tried using "Curvature and Proximity" for your local scoped sizing.

Ansys EmployeeThe gap is very small. If you want to go wiith wrapper, then please use proximity sizing. It should be less than half of gap.
In general for such simple geometries, we go with SpaceClaim & Workbench Meshing approach. You may think of it.

Using proximity sizing solves the problem but the surface mesh around the gap becomes extremely fine and increases the amount of faces of the model. The assembly I am going to simulate later, which is more complicated, contains multiple gaps like this and therefore the size is critical for me. I am searching for an approach that would allow me to keep the faces around the narrow region the same size as the others.
